The event hailed many prominent African American personalities and they were looking more FABulous than ever! Mr. Perry himself graced the red carpet looking cool and comfy in classic blue jeans and fitted top. The phenomenal cast of "I Can Do Bad All By Myself" was in full effect. The best Labor Day weekend looks go to Kanye West and Amber Rose. These two were spotted at the After Screening dinner for Lee Daniels’ Film PRECIOUS. The film stars Mo’Nique, Mariah Carey, and Paula Patton. It seems odd that they would be at this type of event. Amber loves to stand out where ever she goes, she is really rocking a snakeskin dress to dinner. We love this heffa, she keeps our attention no matter what. In our opinion she actually helps Kanye, we haven’t heard a gay rumor since these two linked up. Go Kanye!

During Fashion Week, the public can’t enter the hallowed tents of Bryant Park. But Fashion’s Night Out, which is set to take place Thursday, is for the masses. About 700 stores will host celebs, special events and deals. Here are star appearances worth checking out.

Labor Day is here! What are your plans?? Are you entertaining guests? How about doing something a little different and giving your BBQ some pizazz? Little changes can make a big difference in the presentation of your get-together. Here are some ideas...


Cut foods up and stick toothpicks in them for guests to easily pick their selection. It looks better than sticking a serving fork on the edge of the plate.



Set pre-poured drinks around a punch bowl instead of individual soda cans.




You can make Sangria. Dice select fruit and add white or red wine.
Colored napkins and plastic utensils instead of white paper.
